The Pallet Network (TPN) has opened a new regional hub in Northampton.

The new hub, which is located at Brackmills Industrial Estate in Northampton, has the capacity to handle 8,000 pallets a night.

It offers 164,000ft² of internal operational space and is secured with CCTV, sprinklers and ANPR access control.

The facility, which is operated directly by TPN, will serve 35 member depots, which the network said will reduce members’ trunking times and costs.

This is TPN’s third regional hub, joining TPN’s northern regional hub in Preston, which opened three years ago, and its central midlands hub in Sutton Coldfield, at which TPN has its headquarters.

Announcing the launch of the new hub, TPN MD Mark Duggan said:

“We have built our network on service excellence and as we grow in both pallets numbers and members, adding more hubs to further refine and protect that service is an important step.”

Duggan said the Brackmills hub “not only facilitates future growth, it also enables the network’s membership to plan with confidence, knowing that quality of service will always remain at the heart of the network.”

TPN, which has 105 members and operates 125 depots, shipped more than four million pallets in 2017. It also rolled out a new livery during the year ( which Duggan said had been met with a positive response by members.
