As part of its ongoing expansion plans, PGS Global Logistics has agreed a pre-show deal with one of its fellow Multimodal exhibitors, Lauralu.
PGS Global provides a genuine 3PL logistics service, offering parcel and pallet distribution as well as dedicated haulage. Storage and fulfilment is now an increasing aspect of the company’s growth.
Following the recent purchase of a new warehouse offering extra 5,000 pallet space storage capacity, PGS wanted to add value to the cross docking service to its customers.
Rather than wait for the show to begin they contacted fellow exhibitors Lauralu regarding their tailor made canopy structures.
A £100,000 deal has been agreed to design and build a 15,000 sq ft structure alongside the new warehouse offering temporary storage and weatherproof cross docking facilities for PGS Global’s pallet distribution and storage services.
Paul Eyles, PGS Global MD said:
“Unfortunately the British weather can cause severe disruption to the loading and unloading of trailers in the yard of any logistics organisation. This new canopy will enable us to remove the weather factor from our operations. Customer’s freight can now be cross docked in dry controlled conditions. The canopy also provides superb lighting and security, enabling our warehouse team to fulfil the 24 hour service requirements of our customers. I am absolutely certain it will prove to be an excellent investment.
"Multimodal will be our first national exhibition and forging this partnership with a fellow exhibitor gave us that extra confidence in their ability.”
PGS will be exhibiting at Multimodal on Stand 1600. Lauralu will be on Stand 474.
